Live petrol and diesel prices at 7,557 UK forecourts as JSON. No key, no sign-up, open CORS. Data updated 17:30 today.

Find stations near a point

GET /api/stations?lat={lat}&lon={lon} with optional fuel (E10, E5 or B7), radius (1–50), unit (mi or km), sort (cheapest or nearest) and limit (1–100). Each station includes every fuel price, when each was reported, its distance and its page on this site.

Other endpoints

  • GET /api/summary: UK averages and the five cheapest stations for petrol and diesel.
  • GET /api/postcode/{postcode}: coordinates for a UK postcode.
  • GET /api/health: when the data was last refreshed and how many rows passed the quality checks.
  • /data/uk-towns.csv, /data/regions.csv and /data/towns/{town}.csv: CSV downloads.

MCP server for AI assistants

Connect Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP client to https://cheapestfuelnearme.co.uk/mcp (Streamable HTTP, no sign-in). Tools: find_fuel_prices (near a postcode or coordinates) and get_uk_fuel_averages. Server card: /.well-known/mcp.json.

Using the data

  • Prices are in pence per litre and come from the UK government's Fuel Finder scheme. They contain public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0.
  • Please credit Cheapest Fuel (cheapestfuelnearme.co.uk). A link is welcome but not required.
  • Show when each price was reported. Stations report when their price changes, so older prices may be out of date.
  • Data refreshes twice a day, so there's no need to call more often than every 15 minutes. Responses are cached for 5 minutes.
